Wing Ding is the annual event sponsored by GWRRA. Each year it moves to a different location, and this year it is being held in Des Moines, Iowa. There are many vendors, seminars, training programs, demo rides and organized rides to participate in. This year, a very special couple from our area are up for the International Couple of the Year selection. Mike and Nancy Mandell from NJ Chapter F will be representing Region B. This event is taking place on Tuesday, the 29th, in the early afternoon. If you've ever met them, you'll know why we are excited to be heading out to Iowa to support them.
We've picked the Renaissance Savery Hotel in Des Moines as our hotel. It is close to the Expo Center where Wing Ding will be held, rooms are $99 plus tax and parking ($11 per day), internet access is included, microwave in room, indoor pool, and the Skywalk connects to the hotel. Of course, there are many other hotels that you can choose from.
To make hotel reservations, go to the Wing Ding page and look for the section on Housing Selections. You will need to enter a code to see which hotels currently have rooms and their rates.
